You, Us & The Job

As a Software Engineer International at PostNord, you will operate within the Production area of the PostNord IT landscape, focusing on developing and maintaining international solutions. You will work in a diverse environment, and collaborate closely with the Product Owner, Tech Lead and the rest of the International development team, spread between the Nordics and India. Nevertheless, various development teams to understand business needs and deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure software solutions.

What will you do?

As a member of the application team, you will be heavily focused on interacting with the other development teams, users, and business, understanding their needs. You will be contributing to development of the international solutions as part of the team. Ensuring best practices, such as quality and security, are followed in all stages of the product development life cycle.

Alongside your other duties you will also be engaging in projects, combining technical expertise, guide the team in using best practices in software engineering to ensure high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code, while securing that the application itself is stable and secure. Being able to identify signs of degradation or risk that will cause impact to the business and to promote a plan of action to maintain quality service (in other words how to deal with debt) and driving technical excellence within the team.

Your Experience

  • Proven experience (5+ years) as .Net developer with focus on backend.
  • Extended experience in working with Structured Databases (MS SQL, MySQL).
  • Experience in using Cloud Solutions (Microsoft Azure Cloud, AWS).
  • Working in multi-cultural, multi-sourced environment.
  • Experience working in the logistics industry, the customer segments, and the market.
  • Experience and/or knowledge of
    • o International flows cross PostNord and International systems
  • Business domain knowledge of PostNord processes across domains and countries.  
  • Expert knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)  
  • Skilled in communication

(Nice-to-have)

  • Experience with NoSQL Databases.
  • Experience in using Distributed, Shared Cache solutions (Redis).
  • Experience in working with integration solutions (Confluent Kafka, Tibco EMS, RabbitMQ, IBMMQ).
  • Experience in working with serializer solutions (Avro Schemas or Protobuf).
  • Experience in using container orchestration solutions (K8s or OpenShift).
  • Experience in Working with Grafana Cloud, Dashboards, Alerts, and notifications.
  • Writing PromQL, Log QL Queries.
  • Experience in applying the CI/CD and DevOps principles in the development lifecycle.
  • Experience in developing Rest API solution.
  • Experience of any framework for agile scaling at enterprise level (e.g. SAFe, LESS etc.).
  • Knowledge of the logistics industry, the customer segments, and the market

Technical Expertise:

  • Good record of working within .net development in a mid/senior capacity.

Language Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in at least one Scandinavian language is meritorious.

Education:

  • University degree or similar relevant education in technology/IT or equivalent work experience in relevant areas.
