You will work with us - Team Tracking Information

We have daily stand-ups and retrospectives every two weeks. In between we have at least one MOB session a week and we encourage pair programming.

The team is distributed with members in the Philippines, Germany, Argentina and Sweden. We work both at the office in Solna and remote. We have daily stand-ups and retrospectives every two weeks. In between we have at least one MOB session a week and we encourage pair programming. 

You will work on this

Develop and maintain several systems with a focus on managing tracking events. These are exposed both internally and externally, e.g. in the PostNord app. About 15-20 million events pass through these systems every day and in the future these numbers will be at least double.

Backend, development usually takes place in the AWS environment and is deployed as standard Java lambdas or as Spring Boot services orchestrated in Kubernetes.

Right now we are working on redesigning an existing system that sends tracking information in near real time to both internal and external stakeholders. We are also redesigning another existing system that calculates a package's journey in detail.

We are looking for you with knowledge and experience of

• Java SE
• DevOps
• Back-end system with microservice architecture.
• Highly transactional systems.
• Relational databases and NoSQL (such as DynamoDb).
• Message queues and streams.
• REST APIs.
• Agile environments.
• Willingness to build knowledge within the business area to understand and refine requirements.
• You also need to have good analytical skills and a coaching approach.
• English in speech and writing.

It is an advantage if you have experience or knowledge of development in the cloud, especially AWS. Kubernetes, ElasticSearch and Kibana or Grafana.
