The Analytics Center of Excellence department have today 14 employees who are responsible for building, running and develop our modern Analytics Data Platform build I Azure.

The unit contributes to the strategy to make Postnord more data driven by providing a platform where the business can work independently in a Hub and spoke model.
The platform provides a devops environment containing different analytic capabilities.

Job duties

In the role of Data Platform Architect, you will be responsible for the architectural design. We have a great breadth and variety in our assignments and are often in collaboration with several different parts of our Nordic Group.

You will work with, among other things:

• Oversees the development, deployment, and management of data infrastructure while also guiding the architectural decisions for analytical platforms. 
• Lead the design and implementation of a comprehensive analytical platform architecture that supports data ingestion, processing, storage, and analysis needs of the organization. 
• Evaluate and integrate cutting-edge technologies and frameworks into the data platform to enhance its capabilities and ensure it remains at the forefront of data analytics infrastructure. 
• Oversee a team of data engineers in developing robust, scalable data pipelines that efficiently transport and transform data across systems and platforms 
• Champion best practices in data engineering, including code quality, data security, and performance optimization. 
• Develop and enforce governance policies for the use and management of the analytical platform, including data quality, compliance, and access controls. 
• Ensure the platform meets all security requirements and complies with relevant data protection regulations. 
• Work closely with business leaders, data scientists, BI developers, and IT to align the analytical platform's capabilities with organizational goals and data strategies 
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring the platform supports a wide range of analytical and reporting needs. 
• Monitor emerging trends in data engineering and analytics technologies, adopting new tools and practices that can enhance the platform's functionality and efficiency. 
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the data engineering team. 

We are looking for you who have

• Experience in data engineering with a proven track record in designing and implementing large-scale data platforms, preferably in a leadership role. 
• Extensive knowledge of data architecture principles, data engineering tools, and big data technologies (e.g.,  Spark, Kafka). 
• Experience with cloud data services (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and understanding of cloud architecture best practices for analytics. 
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD methodologies tailored to data workflows, ensuring streamlined development and deployment processes 
• Strong proficiency in programming and scripting languages relevant to data engineering (e.g., Python, SQL, Scala).
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of data engineers, promoting technical excellence. 
• Familiarity with data governance, privacy laws, and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
